In the year of our Lord, 1997 a very remarkable blessing has been showered to the people of Sitio Acaciahan, Barangay Ilayang Yuni, Mulanay, Quezon. Their demand for a Primary School has been granted
Way back in the previous years before 1997, the people of Acaciahan headed by Mr. Cesar Ribleza, who was then a Brgy. Councilor, Mr. Greg Paras and Mr. Rodrigo Mabolo foresee the hardship of pupils, having their education in Ilayang Yuni Elementary School. They thoought of the difficulties of pupils especially when it is rainy season. Because of this facts, they thought of having a Primary School in their Sitio. In doing so,they census every other pupil that could be possible pupils in the proposed school. They also asked Mr. Catalino Ribleza if he could give a parcel of his land to be the site of the proposed school, who whole heartedly donated one hectare for the proposed school. Through their countless effort with unquestionable assistance of parents, their purpose has been obtained.
In the year 1997, Mr. Ramil N. Gomez was sent in Sitio Acaciahan to be the pioneer teacher in Acaciahan Primary School, he handled two grade levels, Grades One and Two having 27 pupils. He conducted his class in a nipa hut. In 1999, Mrs. Marites R. Malinao was assigned to handle grades one and two. In year 2000, it became a complete elementary having grades one to six, with three teachers handling combination classes. In the same year, the school had its first concrete room and on 2001 the second concrete room in the school. Since then, the progress of the school has been remarkable on its fast pace.
At present, it has a population of more or less 145 pupils comprising of 3 combination classes with three teachers under the supervision of their Head Teacher Mr. Ramil N. Gomez.
Acacihan Elementary Scho0ol envisions a community with strong partnership among pupils, committed teachers, cooperative and collaborative parents in a wholesome learning environment gearedtowards quality and relevant education and service for the common good.
